Banners created together with inmates of the prison Graz – Karlau, which transfered statements from the prisoners to the massive cement fencing and thus to the outside world. The starting point was the conspicuous prison building, which is a kind of blind spot in the district of Gries, known for its red light district and high quota of migrants.
Since hardly anything of their isolated and stigmatized existence penetrates outside the prison walls, the prisoners were asked to express what they would like to say, in order to make their uncensored statements visible on the outer walls. This turned the channel of communication in the opposite direction.
